Orofacial Myofunctional Programs
Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy is a type of treatment program that aims to correct orofacial myofunctional disorders by incorporating exercises and techniques targeting muscles of the lips, tongue, cheeks, and jaw.



What does Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy treat?

Tongue, lip, and/or buccal ties

Tongue thrust (forward motion of tongue when swallowing or at rest)

Mouth breathing (breathing through the mouth instead of the nose)

Open mouth posture (lips apart at rest)

Negative oral motor impacts from prolonged oral habits (e.g., pacifier, thumb sucking, prolonged use of bottle, etc.)
